As a Senior Financial Accountant at Wooga, you will partner closely with business leaders and cross-functional teams to drive financial accuracy and provide strategic insights. Reporting directly to Wooga’s Finance Manager and collaborating with our headquarters in Israel, you will play a pivotal role in statutory and tax preparations, Periodic reporting and high-impact ad-hoc projects. In this role, you’ll help shape data-driven decisions and optimize the financial processes that fuel Wooga’s continued growth and success.

About the role

• Lead the end-to-end preparation and filing of annual Statutory Financial Statements in accordance with local German GAAP and US-GAAP.
• Participate in monthly and quarterly closing processes, as well as SOX compliance - testing and maintaining internal control environments.
• Prepare and file comprehensive corporate income tax returns, ensuring all deductions and credits are accurately captured.
• Manage and submit required periodic statistical filings to government agencies and regulatory bodies.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors and tax authorities during routine audits or inquiries.
• Participate in special projects, such as system implementations, process improvements, or financial analysis.
• Provide internal guidance on tax implications for business decisions and changes in tax legislation.

About you

• Formal educational background in Finance, accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field
• US-GAAP experience and German GAAP strong knowledge
• Prior solid relevant professional experience in a tax/accounting role within an international environment
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and concepts
• Proficiency in Advanced Excel , PowerPoint, including Google spreadsheets and slides
• Proven experience in Automation and AI will be an advantage
• Excellent communication skills in English, with the capacity to effectively present ideas to different departments
• Excellent communication skills in German, with the capacity to effectively communicate with the German authorities and auditors
• Strong analytical skills and solution-oriented
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
• Familiarity with Oracle ERP and Knowledge of EPM Oracle is an advantage
