What You Will Be Responsible For
- Being a single point of contact (Consultant and Implementation SME) for a client
- Assistance with management of client’s technical and functional support issues
- Coordination with Charles River’s support and product management teams
- Monitoring and assisting with the issue escalation process
- Guidance to client(s) on best practice usage of Charles River IMS
- Informal training of client personnel in Charles River IMS
- Interpretation of workflow analysis documents (BRDs) and conversion of these documents into specifications for Charles River IMS configuration to ensure best practice delivery
- Ongoing communication and assessment of project status to the client and Charles River project manager (in larger projects)
- Communication of pertinent information on upgrades and major releases to client(s)
- Management of training and consulting resource requests
- Project management of smaller-sized implementation project(s) for client(s)
- Proactive leadership in a client’s utilization of Charles River’s products and services
- Maintaining general awareness of industry changes/trends
- Day-to-day delivery of Charles River IMS implementation project(s)
- The role involves 50% presence on client’s site in Frankfurt and occasional travel.
What We Value
- Extensive (min. 3-5 years) experience in a similar role implementing or maintaining financial systems
- Front and/or Middle Office experience (order management, dealing with fund managers / traders)
- Experience with Charles River IMS or an equivalent system / platform (competitor)
- Good investment management and market instrument knowledge in Front and/or Middle Office, e.g. fixed income/derivatives, OTC, equity, compliance, IBOR, performance / attribution, post-trade & settlement, ex-ante / ex-post risk, and data interfaces
- A specific previous area of focus e.g. in PMS, OEMS, risk system, compliance, IBOR or SWIFT is desirable.
Education & Preferred Qualifications
- Fluency in English and German
- Fluency in other language(s) is of advantage
- University degree should ideally be in Finance or Technology, or similar.
Additional Requirements
- Superior client facing & communication skills
- Structured work style, can work both independently & in a team
- Technical knowledge, e.g. SQL or VBA
- Experience dealing with users or clients from either a technical or business area
- Solid grip on making presentations covering business, technical aspects or sales
- Experience in managing smaller projects
- Solid understanding of software / SaaS delivery life-cycle, and management of issues.
