Who we are looking for

We are seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager (f/m/d) to provide parental leave cover within our European and Sustainable Credit team.
The focus of the role is on ensuring continuity and reliability of all portfolio management activities – portfolio construction, monitoring, trade execution, and close cooperation with our credit analysts.

What you will do

  • Generate and implement investment ideas across primary and secondary markets (EM, DM, IG, HY)
  • Conduct portfolio construction and ongoing monitoring (risk, positioning, guidelines)
  • Engage in daily interaction with the credit analysts’ team; validate investment rationales across funds
  • Participate actively in issuer and sector reviews
  • Develop trade ideas and support day-to-day portfolio management
  • Contribute to the ESG strategy of global funds (investment cases, marketing input, ESG positioning/reporting)
  • Support the implementation of the ESG philosophy within the investment process
  • Develop/enhance ad-hoc tools for relative value and trade idea generation
  • Participate in team meetings, providing ad-hoc macro or sector research

The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in portfolio management and/or credit (IG/HY, EM/DM)
  • Strong understanding of credit markets and portfolio management processes
  • Experience working with analyst teams and participating in issuer/sector reviews
  • Highly organised, reliable, diligent approach
  • Strong English and German communication skills
  • High integrity and ability to operate within a regulated environment (incl. SM&CR Conduct Rules)
