For our client an international private equity firm we are looking for a Director Private Equity to join their team.

Supplied with capital of more than 2bn e to invest, the team has a long tradition of successful partnerships with companies and entrepreneurs around the world. Joining the German Team you would be responsible for investing in the German speaking market and supporting the firms portfolio companies in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

The range of tasks of the Director Private Equity includes, among others:

• Development of new investment opportunities – continuous contact with stakeholders, multipliers in the market as well as entrepreneurs and companies
• Execution of transactions, assumption of project management, management of the due diligence process
• Leadership role in the management of portfolio companies, sparring partner for the respective management teams
• Guidance and training of junior members of the team

Profile sought

The successful candidate (m/f/d) should have 5 years of experience in a private equity firm as well as experience in a top tier investment bank, strategy consulting or Big4 firm and be fluent in German and English. Any other language is a plus. The candidate will know how to structure a deal and negotiate with all parties involved. Strong numerical and modeling skills are required, as well as an analytical and commercially oriented mindset – the ability to understand market trends and their impact on a company’s strategy and business model.
