Your role at a glance

The purpose of this position is to ensure that IT delivers standardized systems and platforms for a stable, secure and efficient infrastructure for the Data Centers and other buildings on a global level.

What we are looking for

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Definition of IT standards for the areas of network, racks, cabling and construction requirements.
• Responsibility for the implementation according to the standard
• Performing on site control of construction sites in all relevant phases
• Responsibility for the management of purchasing as well as external suppliers
• Responsibility for adherence to schedules, especially timely ordering, and delivery.
• Reporting of status, projects, issues etc. to IT and Executive Management.
• Technical management of the team Network/Security covering L2 and L3 networking including WiFi and telephony
• Further development of the existing IT architecture
• Acting coordinating interface especially but not limited to the named departments in Purpose above
• Consult the business in the respective IT areas to identify best IT solutions to enhance business capabilities
• Management of group internal and external IT service providers and specialist groups
• Evaluation, coordination, and processing of change requests including demand management in those areas
• Responsibility for resource and delivery planning within the team
• Continuous improvement of existing processes and input in the definition of new processes
• Acting Project Manager within own area for bigger projects
• Strong collaboration with Procurement Team to identify cost efficiency opportunities
• Processing incidents and service requests in the ticket system (2nd level support)
• Participation in on-call duties

Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:

• Completed vocational training with a focus on computer science or equivalent work experience
• Multiple years of professional experience in the area of network and DC infrastructure or equivalent
• Excellent German and English language skills verbal and writing
• Very good knowledge and working experiences in network and DC infrastructure
• Ability to quickly tap into and master new areas of responsibility
• Enforcement and persuasiveness
• High commitment and willingness to travel (<60%)
• Integrative and independent work style, self-motivation, and team spirit
• Excellent Communication and presentation skills
• Strategic thinking individual with a structured and target-oriented approach
