Your Job
Depending on your skills profile, your tasks may include:
- Drafting and negotiating (re)insurance contracts with clients, analyzing and assessing legal trends in the field of property and casualty reinsurance for facultative or treaty clients or
- Legal support (drafting/negotiating) for all kinds of documentation in connection with Alternative Risk Transfer (ART) and Insurance Linked Securities (ILS) transactions, e.g. indemnity, parametric or derivative risk transfer agreements, capital markets documentation for catastrophe bonds and sidecars, banking and collateral documentation, group internal and external retrocession, as well as advising on general legal and regulatory questions in this context or
- Comprehensive underwriting of (casualty) treaty business, including risk assessment, pricing, wording with exposure to the full underwriting value chain
- Experience the opportunities and insights offered by one of the world's leading risk managers
- Participate in an international assignment of 12 weeks to broaden your intercultural experience
- Acquire profound knowledge of our business as well as further developing your soft skills in our distinguished global learning programme
- Take the opportunity to quickly build a broad network of industry experts within Munich Re worldwide
Your Profile
- Legal state examination or law degree (LLB, LLM)
- Initial work experience (e.g. internships or up to two years of work experience after graduation), in the insurance and/or financial services industry, at a law firm or in an in-house legal department
- Strong analytical skills
- At least three months experience abroad (studies or internship/work experience abroad)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and willingness to learn
- Strong written and verbal communication in English and German required, additional languages are an advantage
- Curious and creative mindset
