Who We Are

Gamma Technologies (GT), the global leader in multi-physics system simulation software, develops a suite of integrated solutions designed to guide and accelerate the engineering transformation of today’s products. Fusing advanced physics with AI algorithms, our platform, GT-SUITE, is used to simulate a broad range of systems from early stage development to digital twin applications across multiple industries including transportation and mobility, marine, aerospace and defense, power and energy, data centers and HVACR.

At Gamma Technologies, our people are the driving force behind our success. We are looking for Application Engineer: Mobility Systems and Integration, who shares our passion for authentic innovation, trusted partnerships, bold decisions and a relentless focus on customer success.

What You Will Do

You will join our Support and Applications Group to help our customers get the most out of our software and to leverage the knowledge learned from these interactions to continuously improve our software. Gamma Technologies develops GT-SUITE, a sophisticated desktop software package for simulating almost any kind of engineering multi-physics system, such as those arising in the automotive, aerospace, and other industries, involving fluid, thermal, mechanical, electromagnetics, chemical and controls elements. It also utilizes a sophisticated set of user interfaces including map-based and 3D-based pre- and post-processors.

Specifically, you would join our mobility systems and integration simulation team whose focus is on modeling of vehicle systems and their integration with multiple domains such as powertrain/propulsion, thermal management, and controls. This is an opportunity to contribute to the automotive and other transportation industry and more specifically the development of electrified powertrains by means of simulation.

  • Opportunity to develop CAE solutions and workflows to assist customers in advancing their simulation capability and thereby reduce reliance on physical testing
  • Assist global customers in their use of GT-SUITE software to simulate mobility systems
  • Use customer feedback and interaction to design and test new GT-SUITE product features related to simulation methodologies, specifically related to mobility systems and multi-physics integration
  • Proactively carry out proof-of-concept projects to demonstrate cutting edge software solutions to prospective customers around systems integration
  • Research, design, prototype, and test various software solutions that help improve GT-SUITE model deployment workflows
  • Interact with established and emerging automotive companies through training classes, conferences, and marketing events
  • Help evangelize the critical role Gamma Technologies plays in helping automotive companies on the Road to Zero Carbon

What You Will Bring

  • Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent is required
  • 5 years of professional, post-graduate-level experience in mobility systems development (vehicle, marine, aerospace) is highly preferred
  • Professional experience in model-based system simulation is required
  • Professional and/or graduate-level experience with propulsion/powertrain systems is highly preferred
  • Experience with CAE tools, such as GT-SUITE, Simscape, AVL CRUISE M, Simcenter Amesim or similar is highly preferred
  • Familiarity with cloud and distributed computing technologies is a plus
  • Programming skills (e.g. Python or MATLAB) are a plus
  • Familiarity with Machine Learning techniques is a plus
  • Self-starter and fast learner with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent proficiency in English and German, in both written and verbal communication
  • A customer-centric mindset, with motivation to engage and build relationships

What we Can Offer You

  • Dynamic and highly talented team of experts
  • The opportunity to bring in your own ideas, implement them and make them accessible to a large customer base
  • The opportunity to build a professional network in various branches of industry
  • The primary work location will be our Stuttgart, Germany office. We’ve adopted a hybrid work policy asking employees to report to the office 3 days per work week
