The online job board Yourfirm.de is the first address for people looking for jobs and employers in the "Mittelstand" (small and medium-sized businesses). Within only 10 years, we grew into one of the most successful online job boards in Germany. We currently employ around 90 people and our founders are still passionately steering the ship. For our continued growth, we are looking for motivated individuals that are looking to tackle new challenges and become part of our success story.

Why are we currently looking to expand our team?

We want to grow our internal team to move all of our current projects forward at a higher pace as well as tackle new exciting concepts.

Also, we are looking forward to new faces with original ideas & different approaches that help us grow and expand our knowledgebase.

How are we organized?

Our development team consists of three sub teams with different areas of focus. One is focused on the platform at large and our solr-search. The second one mostly works in our Django backend and creating interfaces for the automatic import of jobs. The third team is tasked more with frontend changes as well as tracking related stuff like GA-pixel implementation and so on.

All three teams do have regular interaction with each other, especially in reviews. The team members consist of YF-internal developers as well as members of external service providers.

We have two product owners, who coordinate the requirements/wishes of our stakeholders for the three teams. We follow the SCRUM process with three separate sprints (one for every team) of 1-week length. Each team also has a scrum master.

What are our current task & projects?

  • Adjust the subscription process of a newsletter function.
  • Rework and expand our user rights management.
  • Integrate and revise our customers APIs via a separate microservice.
  • Improve the pagespeed of our website.
  • Rework the structure of our landing pages.

What will your everyday life be like?

  • Program new features.
  • Meetings/calls with stakeholders/PO to clarify requirements for features.
  • Finding and fixing software bugs.
  • Creation and discussion of technical concepts.
  • Getting familiar with new topics and technologies.
  • Review pull requests.
  • Improving one's knowledge.
